The complex includes a five star Kempinski Hotel (22,765 m²), 81 residential units (14,431 m²), offices (14,926 m²) as well as parking and support facilities (23,411 m²). The construction of a modern multifunctional complex with a Kempinski Hotel will contribute to the further development of hoteliering activities at the highest level and provide new impetus to tourism activities in the high business class hotel standard category, the highest to date in Minsk and Belarus.
The Riko company, which has been a presence on the Belarusian market for a decade now, gained investor confidence with its competitive bid, flexible business structure and its numerous references, among which the construction of Hotel Peter I in the centre of Moscow and that of the transformer stations in Minsk should be particularly highlighted. Riko will include a strong Slovenian component in the project, in the process of construction as well as supply of material.
The construction of the Kempinski Hotel is worth EUR 57 million, whereas the cost of the entire complex is estimated at over EUR 100 million. The investor will provide more than half of its financing, whereas the required loan will be granted from a consortium of international banks with credit risk insurance from SID Bank as the agent of the Slovenian state.
The investor in the project is the Elite Estate JLCC company, with the architectural solution being provided by Moscow's renowned architecture bureau SPEECH LLC. The deadline for the construction of the hotel is the end of 2013, whereas the construction of the residential and commercial complex is to be completed before the end of 2014.
